Kola Nut

The Kola Nut is the fruit from the Kola tree, which is native to Africa's tropical rainforests. The African Kola Nut is a spiritual nut with great significance. Kola Nut is known as Oji in the Igbo language, spoken by one of the three main tribes in Nigeria. This fantastic ingredient has so many amazing benefits!

The Kola Nut is used to flavour sodas (Coca Cola) and it can help increase energy. This nut has great significance and is given to guests at weddings and funerals. It is also used by traditional medicine men.

The Kola Nut, featured in our scrub cleanses the skin, to rejuvenate and freshen skin and has the following benefits:

Increases blood circulation

The caffeine and other stimulants, including Theobromine, can slightly increase a person's heart rate. This can improve the circulation of blood. The stimulation of blood flow can result in an invigorating and revitalising effect to the skin

Antibacterial and antioxidant properties

The Kola Nut can help prevent the growth of bacteria due to its antibacterial and antioxidant properties. This helps fight bacteria and increase immunity levels to fight and prevent illnesses.

Anti-cellulite treatment

The caffeine content can boost a person's energy levels. This is because the natural ingredient stimulates the central nervous system. The nut contains 2-3% caffeine and 1-2% of the stimulant Theobromine.

This is just a few of the benefits of this impressive ingredient, but shows some of the reasons why we incorporated it into our scrub.
